Vinyl Plank

Fashionable – Versatile – Moisture-Resistant

Luxury vinyl flooring is incredibly versatile and can replicate the look and feel of natural stone, porcelain tile and hardwood flooring. There are many advantages of modern luxury vinyl floors: the ease of cleaning and maintenance, the moisture-resistant construction, and its ability to resist stains and minor abrasions. Since luxury vinyl tiles are durable and wear-resistant, they are great for areas with high foot traffic. With so many colors, styles, and pattern options available, clients choose Heartland Custom Flooring to help them select a style of luxury vinyl that is ideal for their kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, or any room exposed to wear.

Modern vinyl offers many benefits for your home or business:

  • Cushioning layer for added comfort and support
  • May minimize foot traffic levels of noise
  • Antimicrobial protection that discourages bacterial growth
  • Moisture resistant properties to handle humidity and water exposure
  • Low maintenance

With two types of luxury vinyl to choose from, we can help you achieve the look you desire. Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is designed to look like ceramic tile or stone while retaining heat and remaining comfortable underfoot. On the other hand, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) closely resembles hardwood planks. For a nearly indistinguishable look, it comes in a variety of unique grains and colors.

Our full range of luxury vinyl flooring solutions has the style and easy installation that’s just right for the do-it-yourselfers or for our installers.

Another option available would be the no-hassle sheet vinyl. It is less convincing in appearance, but more affordable and just as functional.

Preparing for Installation

Depending on the type of vinyl you have selected for installation, the process will vary in duration. If you have selected a glue-down vinyl plank, you will want to establish good ventilation for at least 48 hours after the installation. Also, you may need to avoid walking on the new flooring to give the adhesive time to properly set. Our installation crew will be able to advise you on this.

On the day of installation, we request a member of your household who is at least 18 or older be available to greet the installation crew and show them the work area. We ask, for everyone’s safety, that you keep children and pets away from the work area until the installation is complete.

Vinyl Floor Care & Maintenance

Luxury vinyl is the perfect floor for busy families, as well as business owners alike. Since it is scuff and dent resistant, as well as waterproof, it withstands heavy traffic with ease. With just a few simple care and maintenance tasks incorporated into your daily routine, you will be able to keep your flooring looking and performing at its best for the long haul. Visit https://shawfloors.com/care for more information.

Daily Care & Maintenance

At Heartland Custom Flooring, we recommend sweeping and vacuuming your vinyl floor as often as is needed. Invest in doormats and place them strategically around your home to keep dirt off your flooring. Place floor protectors under all heavy furniture and take care when moving furniture across your flooring. When using a cleaning solution, make sure it is manufacturer-approved and make sure to spray and wipe dry according to the product’s instructions.

Dealing with Spills

Even though today’s vinyl flooring is waterproof, you will still want to address spills right away. Liquid spills, such as water, milk, and pet accidents, can be wiped away with a clean cloth. Please refer to our common spill removal guidelines for more comprehensive spills.

What our customers are saying

Heartland Custom Flooring just completed the installation of carpet and vinyl in property we own. We are very pleased with the results. The installer went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with the end result, even doing some work that he did not really have to do. They took away the old carpet and pad and did a good job of cleaning up.

Your follow-up throughout the process was greatly appreciated. You kept me informed so that I knew what to expect and when to expect it. When a potential problem arose, you made changes so the job was completed on time.

Dealing with Heartland Custom Flooring and you Rob, was a breath of fresh air versus a couple other stores that did not seem to be very interested in helping us get this job done. Thank you!
